November Menu Planning

Since yesterday was the last Sunday of the month, I made my menu plan for November. I thought October would be an easy month because I didn’t have to plan for several days, as we were away for a weekend, and had dinner out for our anniversary. But there were a couple other things going on during dinner times in addition to the ‘days off’, so it was hard to get into a groove.

Even though September went pretty well, I still felt there was room for improvement. Next month, I’m going to try and get two nights out of my slow cooker dinners instead of one. Here are a couple new  recipes I’m excited to try:

Skinnytaste- Slow Cooker Chicken and Black Bean Tacos

Real Food by Dad- Beef Bourguinon

I tried to pay more attention to healthier food so I switched Friday from pizza and pasta to salad. This month’s book had lots of great ideas for dinner salads. And even though I don’t have any specific ideas in mind yet, I’m going to focus more on vegetables, as the book had some good recipes for those too. I really, really don’t like vegetables so I’m trying to find new ideas.

On Wednesday I’ll share more of my attic-related progress. I may be coming down with my first cold of the season so I’m going to sign off till then.
