Eco Chic Transportation

We’ve been a one car family since we sold our Lexus last summer. And, honestly, it hasn’t been that bad. But, with school starting and soccer and ballet and everything else, we needed another car. Because logistically, it no longer was going to be possible.

So, I made good on my “eco-chic” promise and this weekend we got a Prius.

It’s a 2007 with one previous owner, an impeccable service record and I’m really grateful for an environmentally friendly car.

I filled it up today and, people, it cost less than $30! I’m actually going to read the owners manual because I’m really curious as to how it works. I’m still figuring out how to work all the buttons inside, but it’s a car I feel good about driving. Plus, awesome gas mileage.

  1. Congrats on the new(ish) Prius. This will simplify your life, even if it’s adding something — and simple is what it’s about. You’ll love playing the “gas mileage game” — can you beat last tank’s mileage!

  2. Please let us all know how you get on with the Prius, its on my list of potential cars if we return to Texas. We currently drive Toyotas (11 year old Corolla and 3 year old Avensis), love the value for money and great reliability, but know little about the Prius.

  3. Excellent! My bestie got a Prius last year when she took a new job that required quite a commute – she LOVES it. I giggled when you said you’d read the manual because the first weekend she got the car, it was like a new Harry Potter book had come out – nobody saw or heard from her the entire weekend because she was reading the “book” 🙂 I hope you enjoy it and love it as much as she loves hers.

Tell me, tell me...
