This is gonna be a short one as we’re all resting around here and enjoying our Labor Day. Someone named Betty *crossing my fingers* is supposed to be picking these jars I listed on Freecycle up this afternoon. The first person to respond to my post flaked on me over the weekend, so I hope Betty really shows up. She was in the midst of canning pears from her pear tree and ran out of jars. Yay for me and yay for her.
I recently had someone flake on me as well from Freecycle. What timing you had with those jars, I’m sure Betty is feeling very lucky.
I ended up giving up on Freecycle, because people were so difficult about it, in our area (where we used to live). I hope you have better luck!
Have been loving Freecycle! Had a few flakes, but it has mostly been successful and I’m thrilled that my stuff isn’t going to the garbage. Met a few really nice folks too…like the lady who refurbishes old sewing machines and the guy who runs a geared-to-income tool library.
